DAY 1 – CITY OF ORIGIN / MEXICO CITY

Arrival at the Airport where our staff will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the afternoon free. Optional evening tour suggested: Dinner at the World’s largest revolving restaurant Bellini, followed by a Pre-Hispanic Folkloric Show while enjoying a delicious Margarita, ending a great evening with traditional Mariachi music at the famous Plaza Garibaldi. Accommodation.

DAY 2 – MEXICO CITY – BASILICA OF GUADALUPE & TEOTIHUACAN PYRAMIDS

Breakfast. The tour begins with the first stop at Tlatelolco to visit the “Plaza of the Three Cultures,” one of the most significant in Mexico City as it reflects three important eras of Mexican history: Pre-Hispanic, Colonial, and Contemporary. Continue on to the Basilica of Guadalupe, where you will see the original cloak of Juan Diego with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. From here we head to the Archaeological Zone of Teotihuacán, whose name means “place where men become gods,” to discover the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the Quetzalpapálotl Palace, and the Temple of the Feathered Serpent Quetzalcoatl, as well as a walk along the Avenue of the Dead. Lunch included. Visit to a handicraft workshop to learn about the making of pulque (a Pre-Hispanic drink), obsidian, and silver work. Accommodation.

START OF CIRCUIT (THURSDAY)

DAY 3 (THU) – MEXICO CITY / PUEBLA / OAXACA

Breakfast. At 08:00, departure towards Puebla. Begin the CULTURAL VISIT with the temple of Sta. María Tonantzintla, a true artistic and colorful surprise. In the historic center visit: Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, Chapel of the Rosary, Casa de las Muñecas, Jesuit Church, University, Plazuela and Callejón de los Sapos, Casa del Alfeñique… Free time at El Parián, a colorful handicraft market. Group welcome lunch. Continue, through scenic landscapes, to OAXACA, land of jade and gold. Accommodation.

DAY 4 (FRI) – OAXACA (MONTE ALBÁN + CITY TOUR)

American breakfast. CULTURAL VISITS of MONTE ALBÁN and OAXACA. Begin with Monte Albán, once the capital of the Zapotec “People of the Clouds”: Building S, Building J, Systems IV and M, Tomb 104, Main Platform… In Oaxaca’s historic center we admire the Santo Domingo de Guzmán Temple, awarded the Queen Sofía Prize for Restoration in 2001. The Tourist Walkway leads us between architectural monuments, galleries, shops, and restaurants to the Alameda, the Cathedral, and the Zócalo. We finish at the Benito Juárez and November 20 markets. Free afternoon to enjoy this indigenous, colonial, and traditional jewel. Accommodation.

DAY 5 (SAT) – OAXACA (CENTRAL VALLEYS) / TEHUANTEPEC

American breakfast. Morning dedicated to the main attractions of the “Heart” of the Central Valleys. SANTA MARÍA EL TULE, home to the ancient thousand-year-old ahuehuete tree. TLACOCHAUAYA, surprising with its Dominican religious complex from the 16th century. TEOTITLÁN DEL VALLE, famous for its colorful wool rugs made on domestic looms and dyed with natural pigments such as indigo, cochineal, and moss. Finally, MITLA, former Zapotec religious capital, renowned for its fine stonework. Lunch included. Free time to visit a local mezcal distillery. Through cactus-dotted valleys of the Sierra Madre we arrive in TEHUANTEPEC at dusk. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 6 (SUN) – TEHUANTEPEC / SUMIDERO CANYON / SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS

American breakfast. Crossing the Sierra Madre foothills we enter the beautiful state of Chiapas. At midday, board boats to navigate the Grijalva River through the stunning SUMIDERO CANYON, a true wonder of nature: Caves of the Man and Silence, the Great Waterfall, the Castle, and the Christmas Tree. Free time in CHIAPA DE CORZO. Continue to SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS. Hotel check-in and free time. Accommodation.

DAY 7 (MON) – SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS (TZOTZIL COMMUNITIES)

American breakfast. Experience emotions like never before. In SAN CRISTÓBAL we stroll its indigenous market and Santo Domingo Temple. Nearby, the Tzotzil communities of SAN JUAN CHAMULA (“place of bats”) and ZINACANTÁN (“thick water”) offer us an unforgettable morning. Color, tradition, and handicraft shopping will be part of the experience. Free afternoon. Accommodation.

DAY 8 (TUE) – SAN CRISTÓBAL / AGUA AZUL & MISOL-HA WATERFALLS / PALENQUE

American breakfast. Through winding landscapes and lush vegetation, we arrive at the Yax Há River to admire the AGUA AZUL WATERFALLS: deep blue waters, green surroundings, fresh breeze, and endless sounds of nature. Visit MISOL-HA waterfall (with swimming option). Continue to PALENQUE for a peaceful evening, far from the noise. Accommodation.

DAY 9 (WED) – PALENQUE / CAMPECHE

American breakfast. CULTURAL VISIT to the archaeological site of PALENQUE. The grandeur of its constructions and the unique blend of white stone and emerald-green jungle are unforgettable: Temple of the Inscriptions, the Palace, Temples of the Sun and Foliated Cross, Queen’s Bath at the Otulum stream… Free time. Departure towards CAMPECHE, a walled city and World Heritage Site. Snack en route. PANORAMIC VISIT. Accommodation.

DAY 10 (THU) – CAMPECHE / UXMAL / MÉRIDA

American breakfast. Departure to UXMAL, one of the most beautiful sites on the Puuc Route. CULTURAL VISIT: Pyramid of the Magician, the magnificent friezes of the Nunnery Quadrangle, remains of the House of the Turtles, panoramic views from the Governor’s Palace… all testimony of this great Mayan city. Lunch included. Continue to MÉRIDA. Hotel check-in. At sunset, PANORAMIC VISIT: Residential Zone, Monument to the Homeland, Paseo Montejo, Twin Houses, Calle 60, Santa Lucía Plaza, Cathedral, Zócalo… Accommodation.

DAY 11 (FRI) – MÉRIDA / CHICHÉN ITZÁ / CARIBBEAN

American breakfast. Arrival at CHICHÉN ITZÁ to admire the magnificence of the Mayan culture. CULTURAL VISIT: Observatory, Pyramid of Kukulkán, Temple of the Warriors, Ball Court, Sacred Cenote… Free time for a refreshing swim in a typical CENOTE. Group farewell lunch. Continue to CANCUN, warmly welcoming us with its white sands and turquoise waters. (Accommodation not included). END OF OUR SERVICES.
